How To Boost Milk Supply Overnight ?

Life takes a turn when you become a MOTHER it can be an overwhelming experience. One common problem that concerns most new moms is breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is a very sensitive subject every mother fears about this chapter soon starts after giving birth, some moms are very lucky they feed and nourish their baby right away but some struggles a lot. Breastfeeding is all about demand or supply, the more your baby latch the more you produce milk. In the early days, your milk needs 4 to 5 days to establish. Every Woman after being MOM has fear in mind about their breast milk supplies, Whether they will produce enough breast milk to fulfill their baby need or no?  this stress makes their milk production even worse.

The logic behind your breast milk totally depends on the diet you take, the time and duration of how much you feed your little one. Being a MOM of a daughter, In this post, I will share my experience and the ways through which every MOM can boost her breast milk.

1. Nurse on Demand:

Your Milk follows the economical principle of Demand & Supply, The more you feed the more milk your body will produce. If you feed your baby more frequently, Nature will help you out automatically here by sending a message to your body to produce more milk.

2. Power Pump:

Power Pump means you have to pump 10 to 15 minutes after every nursing session so that your breast is fully emptied. When your breast is fully emptied and you are still pumping, then it signals to your body as the baby needs more milk hence producing more milk, but you should do this for minimum 5 days to build up a routine ( for my advice you should start power pump in the next day of the birth of your little one ).

As I have used many breast pump I can recommend you a few breast pump that came in handy. Link down below you can check it as your feasibility.

In boiling milk add semolina and stir frequently then add sugar and turn the flame off when thick. You can take it warm or cool it for a while and then take it as a dessert

  • Stay Hydrated:

Your body contains 70 % of water and now as you breast feed it is more important to take plenty of fluid or water as you like you can consume water in take in the form of milk or juices or simple drink water . Drink at least 1 glass of water before every nursing session.

As a mother, I am witnessed and have experienced that the above explanations are the fastest and best remedy you can do to boost your milk supply within a day or two. I know this is so horrifying that you don't produce that much milk a baby needs, I know I have been through this stage where everybody says let it go start supplementing formula, but I always want to breastfeed at least a year because I believe that what's natural thing is best why I give my baby supplement. Then a turning point where I started googling about how to boost milk? how to produce quality milk? what to eat or not .. And then I understand the nature of milk production.

Believe it or not but I grantee that if I can make milk in 2 days that you can do better. I can explain in points how
  1. First of start taking oats or semolina every early morning or at breakfast.
  2. Stay hydrated it is very necessary because all your milk is water so if you drink more water result in more milk.
  3. Power Pump before or after every feed for 10-20 minutes at least you can do more until the last drop of your milk. PUMP and PUMP every hour or every minute even in the late night, midnight pumping results in more milk supply. This is such a mess I know but do believe me YOU CAN MAKE IT.
  4. Finally, take care of your diet as you are responsible for your child's health also so eat whatever you like to eat more and eat well.
Here are some more healthy foods which you can add to your diet which makes you and your milk healthy.

4. Boiled Eggs.

Eggs contain every nutrients and vitamin a breastfeeding mother needs it can control your cholesterol level and help in lowering the risk of other health problems. As egg has allergens for some people so don't take it if you have any signs of allergy. If you are not allergic and your baby doesn't show any signs of allergies then you can take it as your wish I prefer boiled egg instead of fried because the boiled egg is healthier.

5. Green leafy vegetables.

Green leafy vegetables mostly contain iron, folate, and calcium. Green leafy veggies like spinach, mustard greens, and fenugreek leaves are very rich sources of minerals. Your baby gets all the flavors through your milk

6. Bone Broth.

Bone broth contains many benefits for the women who just give birth and has proven ability of speedy recovery especially if you had a c - section. It has minerals and nutrients that strengthen the body and make the body extra hydrated and warm which results in extra milk supply. It's the best soup you can take postpartum because it makes your body and bone strong

7. Milk.

What should I say about milk it's the best drink you can take it makes you hydrated, it makes you strong, it makes you healthy, it gives you calcium, vitamin D, phosphorus, protein and many more minerals and nutrients are packed up in a single cup of milk. A breastfeeding mom needs many nutrients so that she can produce better quality milk.

8. Fruits.

Every season fruits are great for breastfeeding moms as your body needs extra minerals because you are responsible nor for your self but for your baby also, so eating a variety of fruits or fruits which contains more water like watermelon are great for breastfeeding. Fruits like rockmelon, green papaya, strawberries, avocado, mango, banana, and sapodilla(chicku) are great fruits to take while breastfeeding feeding.

-Fruits to avoid while breastfeeding oranges, lemon, grapefruit, lime, kiwi, and pineapple because they have acidic in nature.

9. Prenatal Vitamins.

You should never miss your prenatal vitamins because it gives you extra vitamins which is very necessary. You should take it the same as you take in pregnancy. Because if you don't take you start behaving cranky, sad, depressed and you would not realize that it is because of nutritional deficiencies.

10.Sesame seed.

High in calcium and estrogen. It helps in making breastmilk supply fast. You can take it alone or as a topping to your salad.

11. Almonds

Nuts like Almonds are great source of protein and calcium. Many nursing Mothers choose to eat almonds or make almond milk.

12.Garlic

Fresh ginger is not only a useful supplement to your diet, but can also increase breast milk production and help with the suppression reflex. You can easily add fresh raw ginger to the dishes you cook. You can also add ginger to your daily life by drinking ginger ale made using real ginger, or by boiling ginger and making tea. Although fresh ginger is considered safe, you should not take ginger supplements without consulting your doctor.

13. Brewer's Yeast

Brewer's yeast is a very useful nutritional supplement that contains B vitamins, iron, protein, chromium, selenium and other minerals. Nursing mothers use it not only to help you make more breast milk but also to give you more energy, positively affect your mood, and get rid of the baby’s blues. You can find brewer's yeast in pill or powder form.
